I love Easy Bread Recipes. I've gone searching online many times for Easy Bread Recipes, as I'm sure you have as well. I've found many sites that make the process of homemade bread a lot more difficult than it needs to be, which is why I have decide to start this blog. My goal is to make the process easy.
I am working on getting some pictures to go along with the steps and to show the finished product. This will be coming soon and I will be adding them to posts that are already on here. Please feel free to post comments and suggestions.
If you are just starting out with making bread, the kneading step will be the most difficult. Here is a video that may help.
I hope you enjoy the recipes.
Ingredients
Milk--2 1/4 cups
Butter--3 tablespoons
Flour--6 cups
Yeast--2 tablespoons (2 packages)
Sugar--2 tablespoons
Salt--2 teaspoons
Parmesan Cheese-2 cups (1 container) *you can use other cheeses such as cheddar
Garlic Powder--1 tablespoon (you may choose to use more or less after your first time)
Steps
1) Combine 4 cups of the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, cheese, garlic powder
2) Heat milk and butter to about 120 degrees and add to flour mixture and mix well. Continue adding flour 1/4-1/2 cup at a time until the dough stickiness is gone.
3) Turn dough out on lightly floured surface and knead for 6-8 minutes
3) Place dough in an oiled bowl. Brush the top and sides of the dough with oil. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until doubled.
4) Punch down dough
5) Divide in half and place in 2 greased bread pans. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45-60 minutes, or until doubled.
6) Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes until crust is browned and there is a hollow sound when you tap the bread.
7) Allow the bread to cool in the pans for about 5 minutes and then remove it from the pan and place it on a wire rack to finish cooling. For a softer crust, you can brush the top with butter or oil.
God Bless
